Six entries rather than the usual eight to fifteen, because most of the obvious London options could not be opened and verified. Tesco, Sainsbury's and Co-op returned HTTP 403 to every request, Ocado and Amazon Fresh returned an empty HTTP 202, and Waitrose and Riverford sat behind a Cloudflare challenge, so none of them could be checked and none are listed. There is no quick-commerce entry: Getir and Gorillas both left the UK in 2024, zapp.com is a steel company rather than the former grocery app, and Deliveroo and Uber Eats gate their grocery listings behind a delivery address, so no page could be opened showing a London store stocking plant milk. Two shops named by older write-ups were checked and found gone: GreenBay in Fulham (greenbaysupermarket.co.uk no longer resolves, and HappyCow lists it as closed) and thevegankind.com (404). Whole Foods Market UK was dropped because its site lists no store pages, so no London branch could be confirmed from its own site. Milk & More and Oato were dropped because neither names London or shows a product list without a postcode. Ingredient lists were read for four of the six entries; the two speciality shops publish none, because both render their product pages in the browser.
